Moo & Yoo began with a shared struggle and a lifelong love for hair.

Olivia spent much of her childhood in Suzie’s salon, playing hairdressers with her best friend and watching transformations unfold in the chairs around her. Those early memories, filled with creativity, self-expression and the joy of helping people feel like their best selves, planted the seed for what would become Moo & Yoo.

But alongside that love for hair came a challenge many people will understand—sensitive skin and scalp.

Living With Sensitivity

Olivia has lived with eczema for most of her life, battling painful flare-ups on her scalp, skin and hairline. She spent years, and far too much money, trying countless products, searching for something that cared for her hair but did not aggravate her already sensitive scalp. Many left her sore, covered in hives and feeling self-conscious about how her skin looked and felt.

Suzie, her mum and a professional hairdresser, knew the feeling well. Years of working with harsh salon products left her hands cracked and sore, while her own scalp often reacted badly to the professional luxury haircare products she worked with every day. She often felt embarrassed showing her hands to clients and frustrated that even as a professional, she still couldn’t find a luxury salon haircare range that was both effective and gentle.

From Struggle to Solution

Together, we decided it was time for something different. We wanted to create products that felt indulgent and luxurious, performed beautifully and were thoughtfully formulated with sensitivity and simplicity in mind.

That was the beginning of Moo & Yoo.
