Our Story: Two Generations. One Vision.
Born in the Salon. Built Together.
Moo & Yoo is a British salon-quality haircare brand founded by mother and daughter, Suzie and Olivia, combining a lifelong love of hair with decades of professional salon experience.
Olivia grew up around Suzie’s Edinburgh hair salon, watching transformations unfold in the chairs and seeing first-hand the confidence that healthy, beautiful hair can bring. Those early years sparked a love of haircare that would eventually become part of the story behind Moo & Yoo.
But there was another, more personal influence behind the brand. Both of us have experienced sensitive skin, and Olivia has lived with eczema for much of her life. Finding hair and beauty products that felt comfortable to use, while still delivering the luxurious experience and professional performance we wanted, wasn't always easy.
Drawing on Suzie’s decades of experience as a professional hairdresser and salon owner, we began to question why beautiful, high-performing haircare couldn't also be thoughtfully formulated with naturally derived ingredients and greater consideration for sensitive skin.
That question became the starting point for Moo & Yoo.
A PERSONAL STORY
Olivia's Experience With Sensitive Skin
Olivia has lived with eczema and sensitive skin for much of her life. These are her own before-and-after images, reflecting a very personal experience that helped shape the thinking behind Moo & Yoo.
Her experience, alongside Suzie's own sensitivity to some professional hair products, made us more conscious of the ingredients we chose and what we left out when developing our formulas.
Beauty with Purpose
Sustainability has been part of Moo & Yoo from the beginning. We believe creating beautiful, salon-quality haircare also means taking responsibility for how our products are made, packaged and enjoyed.
Moo & Yoo is a certified B Corp, with vegan and cruelty-free formulas and more than 95% naturally derived ingredients. We use recyclable glass and aluminium wherever possible, and our growing range of refill pouches offers a lower-packaging way to replenish your everyday favourites.
For us, responsible beauty is an ongoing journey, not a finished claim. We continue to look for ways to reduce our impact and make better choices as we grow, without compromising the luxurious experience and professional performance at the heart of Moo & Yoo.
Nature Meets Performance
Drawing on decades of professional salon experience, we spent years developing formulas that combine naturally derived ingredients with the performance we expect from professional haircare. Our products are free from sulphates and parabens and are designed to leave hair looking healthy, nourished and beautifully cared for.
At the heart of the Moo & Yoo range are carefully selected ingredients chosen for the benefits they bring to the hair and scalp.
Marula Oil
Naturally rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids, marula oil helps nourish and condition the hair, leaving it feeling softer, smoother and beautifully glossy without weighing it down.
Icelandic Moss
A distinctive botanical ingredient traditionally valued for its soothing and conditioning properties. Icelandic moss helps support our gentle approach to hair and scalp care and is particularly suited to formulas created with comfort in mind.
Together with other carefully selected ingredients, they help us create luxurious, salon-quality formulas that care for the hair while delivering beautiful results.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Beautifully Real. Just Like You.
Moo & Yoo has always been about more than beautiful hair. It is about how great hair can make you feel.
Growing up in the salon taught us that no two people, heads of hair or definitions of beauty are the same. We don't believe in chasing perfection or changing what makes you, you. We believe in caring for your hair, working with its natural texture and helping it look and feel at its healthy best.
That philosophy shapes everything we create: professional, salon-quality haircare designed for real people, real hair and real life.
Because beauty shouldn't be about becoming someone else. It should feel like you.
