DIY Spa Day

With health and wellness as the center of most people's resolutions, we are here to support your needs. Whilst eating clean and exercising is a huge part of health, it is important to take some time for your mental well-being too. Taking time out and indulging in some self-care can help you reset, reduce stress, reconnect with yourself and build self esteem. Here is our guide on how you can create the perfect spa experience from the comfort of your own home.

The key to creating your own at home spa day is to create a relaxing spa environment. I like to make sure my bedroom and bathroom are both clean and clear of clutter before I set up my spa day. If you are surrounded by mess and clutter, often this can lead to you mentally feeling stressed and overwhelmed without realising. Once my space is clear I like to run a bath, sometimes I pour some Miracle Body Wash under the running tap to create bubbles. I then like to make myself a hot drink and light my Moo & Yoo Signature Scented Candle. Having a candle lit can help create a calming environment, perfect for recreating your perfect spa experience. Aromatherapy has been used for centuries and can play a big role in reducing stress and boosting your mood.

I like to double cleanse my hair with our Miracle Shampoo before applying our Miracle Hair Mask. This is the ultimate spa essential and a staple in my hair care routine! 
I apply our Miracle Mask to the mid to end sections of my hair and distribute evenly. I like to clip my hair up and often use a shower cap over the top to protect the treatment from the bath water and trap the mask in so it can fully absorb into the hair cuticle. I have quite thick dry wavy hair so like to use for at least 20 minutes and fairly regularly. This is the perfect opportunity to pop on a face mask and indulge in a bit of skincare too if you like! I like to take the opportunity to read my book, listen to some music or even prop up my laptop on a chair and watch an episode or two of something on Netflix.
After rinsing out my hair mask and getting out the bath, I like to end this ritual by moisturising my skin. Using our Miracle Body Lotion, I massage it into my skin and then get into some comfy pajamas for the night. This is the perfect ritual to leave you feeling calm and cared for.
