Moo & Yoo's Sustainable Commitment
Our main goal with Moo & Yoo was to create products that were kind for your hair, skin and the environment without compromising on quality. We wanted our customers to be able to shop with us guilt free and to feel like their purchase was positive for the planet. This translates into every aspect of our products, starting with the ingredients we use, the glass bottles and jars to the fully recyclable cardboard used for transporting orders. Why Are Trees Important?
Trees clean our air we breathe through giving us oxygen and storing carbon, helping to fight climate change. This is essential in cities and areas with high air pollution. Trees are essential in stabilising soil and cleaning water from pollution through their roots. Trees play a key role in storing and slowing the movement of water (including rainwater) to reduce the chances of natural disasters such as floods or landslides occurring.
Trees are essential for the well-being of all living creatures. Aside from cleaning the air we breathe or water we drink, they create a space for biodiversity and natural habitats to form. Many animals rely on trees for shelter, protection and a food source. We are honoured to have reforestation through One Tree Planted as an integral part of our business model.
For those of you that are not familiar with the organisation, One Tree Planted is a non profit organisation dedicated to global reforestation. They plant trees around the globe to help restore forests, create habitat for biodiversity, and make a positive social impact around the world. Since 2014, they have planted more than 92.7 million trees by working with partners across 80+ countries in North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Pacific.
